How Ryan  Met Lindsey

Some people spend their whole lives searching for 'The One'. For us it only took 2 weeks of dental school in the 'Magic City'. After a whirlwind first date we made it official that same night. Through the late nights, stress, and tribulations of dental school we supported each other and built an amazing and truly special relationship. On December 7th 2024, we were engaged in a spot overlooking the city where we fell in love and will return to that same spot on our wedding day. We look forward to celebrating this wonderful day with those we love most and a lifetime of joy ahead.

Birmingham's airport is very convenient for our out-of-town guests. It is located 10-15 minutes from most areas of the city and ride-shares are readily available. For our guests traveling from Chicago, direct flights are available from both O'Hare (American, United) and Midway (Southwest).

Rental cars are not necessary unless desired while traveling to Birmingham. Ubers/Lyfts are readily available throughout all parts of the city. The ceremony location is a 15 minute drive from the reception venue. Please see our Q + A section for guests planning on driving themselves.

Birmingham has a wide selection of awesome breweries. Back Forty is one of our personal favorites! It is where we celebrated our engagement with some of our family and friends! Some other excellent breweries include TrimTab, Avondale, Good People, and Cahaba Brewing Company.

For any pickleball enthusiasts, these courts are a personal favorite of the couple. These outdoor courts are free with additional details on the website.

City Walk Birmingham

For any foodies interested in the local produce, the Pepper Place farmer's market hosts local Alabama vendors on Saturday mornings. The groom personally recommends any of our bakeries, the tamale stand, or a cowboy biscuit.

A historic Birmingham landmark and Lady Liberty's younger cast iron brother, the Vulcan is a classic tourist spot for any first-time visitors to Birmingham. The location features a ticketed entrance to climb or ride to the top of the statue and a museum documenting Birmingham's history.

A favorite breakfast spot of the bride and groom located conveniently in Homewood. We recommend the brisket breakfast tacos, brisket omelet, and anything that comes with a biscuit.

Demetri's

If you can manage to wake up for their 8 AM opening time we recommend lining up for the best bakery in Birmingham. The kouign-amann, any danish, or seasonal offerings will change how you look at a pastry for the rest of your life.

Last Call Baking Company

For any northerners feeling lost in the deep South, Crestline bagel company is a New York inspired establishment. The groom personally recommends this spot and promises it holds up to any bagel shop from back home.

HERO donuts and buns features fantastic breakfast options for those with a sweet tooth. If they are currently stocking the 'cereal milk donut' you will not be disappointed. Their breakfast sandwiches are also fantastic options.

For anyone craving a tasty wagyu burger and a crisp local beer, Jack Brown's is the restaurant for you. Any daily specials are fantastic and the Greg Brady even features mac-and-cheese atop the patty. Their robust beer menu and fried Oreos tie together a truly unforgettable lunch experience.
